Our God is gracious! He sees in people what others don't see.
"I can't believe she did that! Disgusting!"
The woman had a reputation. In their eyes she was condemned.
We do the same thing. We look at other Believers and leaders who have made bad decisions and think, "disgusting..." But not Jesus. He sees someone worth dying for, someone who would flourish with the Light of Life, united with Him.
The Light came into the world but His own did not recognize Him. Everyone needs the Light.
There is none righteous...not even one.
Jesus came to put His light inside us so we would, in turn, shine on others and see who they can be with Him.
You can bet that woman was never the same...
"Jesus straightened up and asked her, 'Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?' No one, sir,' she said. 'Then neither do I condemn you,' Jesus declared. 'Go now and leave your life of sin.'
